Wife to an ultra-runner, mother of two, Ironman, ultramarathoner, taking life one stride at a time.
6.25 miles on the West Mountain Trails. The trails were a little damp after last night’s storm. Some new washout and downed trees/limbs made it a little extra adventurous. I arrived on the trail at the first peek of dawn. I trekked up and over the mountain, then on some new-to-me trail around. I scared up a couple of white tail deer and ended up chasing them down the trail for a bit. Then I watched the sun finally peek over Hot Springs Mountain to the east. It was a fabulous morning run. Smoother trails, in contrast to yesterday’s technical trails, made for a fun, fast morning.
