1. Running the Pavement

I had a great run this morning before the sunrise faded.  I ran the second half of the Soaring Wings course.  After a couple of months of training on the trails, it was great to see the payoff on pavement.

I held a very consistant pace (with the exception of mile 2 stop at a traffic light), peaking going downhill at mile 3 and staying very strong on the long uphills. No walking. No stopping (again, except twice for traffic). No gels. No fading.

    9.45 miles, 9:10 min/m avg pace
